Labuan Bajo Diving

 

Labuan Bajo Diving activities are among the reasons for this particular tourism to be famous. The best diving is inside the Komodo National Park. The town of Labuan Bajo is situated on the far western tip of Flores. You can come through Komodo airport with several daily flights from Bali, through Ferry and with buses. Flores and Labuan Bajo were not notable for ten decades and now are at the initial phases of tourism development.

There are at least hundreds of dip sites in Komodo Park. A lot of these dived and un-covered just a couple of times. Outside the park, there are also hundreds of dive sites. To people bordering the playground and more all along the coast of Flores.

These sites range from muck diving, beach dives, lands that are gentle to websites with ripping currents and predators. Diving around Labuan Bajo is slowly gaining popularity — while Komodo is generally famous every week and new sites are being explored. Also, the macro species are excellent — with all Pygmy Seahorses!

There are now some four-star hotels, several excellent restaurants, and just one incredible Italian restaurant (Made in Italy). Wooden huts and street vendors’ days are gone. The airport and the ferry terminal’s growth there is more and more growing.

Diving from Labuan Bajo presents many varieties of diving. Day trips, liveaboards, and overnight excursions. Additionally, there are non-diving excursions that take you around the area to waterfalls, mountains, underwater lakes, and many more.

The only time of year at which diving conditions could be tricky is February and January. It can be tough work for going in and out of this haven, occasionally impossible. But for the other ten months of the year, it is time for diving, diving, and much more diving!

Out in the Channels, the currents can be intimidating and strong. Labuan Bajo diving is not so hard. With nearby islands shore dives and pinnacles — we have a simpler time and get the numbers of fish from the water! You can appreciate Labuan Bajo diving almost yearlong. Just pick a couple of Dive centers wisely and go. You absolutely won’t be let down.

The average water temperature is 27-28°C, with a visibility of 25-35 meters. The life here is lively and very exemplary of the place. We find lots of great little species, diverse species, corals, and vibrant reefs such as Trevallies and Reef Sharks.

Day trips to Komodo National Park range to 2 hours to the furthest islands. Local dive sites vary from 5 minutes to 45 minutes.
